Everything seems perfect for a young Asian female intern at a top tech company, until a surprise visit from a fellow intern’s mother threatens to expose the secrets she’s been carefully hiding.

SILICON VALLEY GIRL is a proof-of-concept short based on a feature screenplay ranked in the top 1% on blcklst.com. Set in the privileged, hyper-competitive, male-dominated world of Silicon Valley, the film peels back the polished surface to explore the what it feels like to be a young woman in tech: ambition, isolation, and the deep desire to belong.

While the common narrative is that women leave tech because it’s hostile, the deeper truth we explore is this: there’s an invisible emotional tax that slowly erodes a person’s capacity to thrive. Our inner psychology (scarcity, hypervigilance, self-doubt) is connected to real-world outcomes like underperformance and attrition. This story is our attempt to translate that insight into cinema.
